This is like the classic game, but instead of “Simon” saying an action like “stop” or “go,” Simon now asks kids to respond by showing emotion. So the new phrasing is, “Simon says, show me…” and the action may be “a happy face” or “Simon says, show me an angry face” or “Simon says, show me a bored face.” Remember, if a child smiles when the command is to show anger, for example, this is an opening for discussion about how people look and act when expressing certain emotions.
